There’s something about Spring and the start of the warmer sunny weather that makes us want to get fruity. We know what you’re thinking… but fruity with our beauty is what we mean!
Fresh, light scents and make-up brights can always be relied upon to help transition us into holiday mode and lift us out of any dreary slump. With this in mind, we’ve been searching high and low for the best fruity beauty products to splash or sprinkle the cash on this weekend. So here it is, a veritable beauty fruit cocktail – sweet, zesty and full of goodness…
With its light gel-cream formula, this hand cream absorbs in to skin instantly, helping to soften hands and provide plenty of juicy moisture. As an added bonus, its tropical scent has the power to transport you directly to the Caribbean (in your mind).
We really love this cute little pack of tutti frutti scented mini wipes. They’re absolutely perfect for keeping in your handbag to clean up after sticky ice cream cones on sunny days!
Pomegranate is one of the skincare superfruits. Not only can it be used to help prevent the breakdown of collagen (therefore the signs of ageing), it’s also rich in antioxidants and can help in keeping bacteria at bay. The tannins from the pomegranate extract used in this mask, help to reduce pore size and rejuvenate the skin. The intensive, deep-cleansing treatment promises to gently remove impurities from your skin, giving a radiant complexion. A must buy.
Don’t get us wrong, we adore perfume, but sometimes all you need in the warmer months is a delicate veil of fragrance. This light body mist is enriched with extract of lemon verbena and bridges the gap between full-on scent and no scent beautifully.
Nancy’s Nails Scented Top Coat brings a bit of fruitiness to your manicure with its delicious scent! We fancy the totally tropical Looking Fine in Mango & Lime ‘flavour’, but there’s also Its Got To Be Strawberry and Serious Thriller It’s Vanilla, if you’re more of a classic strawberries and cream type of girl.
These little orbs have gained something of a cult status since they arrived in the UK, and rightly so if you ask us. Packed with antioxidant-rich vitamin E, soothing shea butter and jojoba oil, these fabulous balms keep your lips moist, soft and incredibly smooth. This fresh, citrusy, little lemon number has the added benefit of SPF 15, so it’s just the thing to help keep your lips protected in the sunshine.
Essie is renowned for its incredible colour range, so it’s no surprise the brand had just what we were looking for when it came to this week’s Wish List edit. This bright, pinky red Watermelon shade is ideal to quench our thirst for delicious fruity nail colour, and pairing it with the lime and mango scented top coat will be nothing short of dreamy.
What did we do before Batiste??? Honestly, it’s a miracle we made it out of the house on most days! There something in the Batitse range to suit pretty much every hair colour, type and need, but if it’s a dry shampoo with an amazing fruity scent you’re after, this is the one.
We recently sampled this gorgeous, silky body lotion and now it’s time to buy, as we can’t get the zesty grapefruit fragrance out of our heads. Aside from the intoxicating scent, the lotion provides lightweight moisture while softening, replenishing and conditioning the skin with olive and borage oils, and soothing aloe vera. Delicious.
Clinique’s Long Last Lipstick line is fantastic. A big statement, but it’s true. Not only are there lots of gorgeous colours to choose from within the range, the lipstick does exactly what it sets out to do, and does it well – providing long lasting, well-pigmented colour which doesn’t dry out. We’ll definitely be adding the bright fuchsia-ish Watermelon shade to our collection this weekend.
We recently reviewed Bleach’s Hair Crayon
in Rose and absolutely loved it, so we’re keen to try more of the London salon’s colour products. The Awkward Peach shade of this non-permanent cream colour fits perfectly into our fruity theme and gives a soft peachy tone to blonde or fair hair. We fully expect this to be a regular player in our summer hair game.
As soon as we laid eyes on this clutch we knew we had to have it! Cute, kitsch and super fruity, it’s just big enough to fit a few extra make-up ‘essentials’ in when out and about this summer. LOVE it.
