What They Say:

Treat yourself to a quick, reviving five-minute hair mask. Moroccanoil Intense Hydrating Mask is a high-performance, rich and creamy deep conditioner formulated for medium to thick, dry hair. Infused with antioxidant-rich argan oil and nourishing ingredients, it hydrates and conditions while dramatically improving hair’s texture, elasticity, shine and manageability.
What We Say:

After what seems to be like forever, it’s still cold! This means we’re still upping our central heating and calling on the hair dryer at almost every wash – air drying in this chill’s just not going to happen!

With all this heat abuse, it’s starting to play havoc on our locks. Dry ends and a lack of shine; all those things you hate about lifeless dehydrated hair mean it’s time to get the hair masks out.

Hair masks are a great way to boost some life back into your lengths. Really, all they are is an intense conditioning treatment – normally packed pull of fabulous oils and restoring ingredients.

So on looking in our stash, we decided it was time to bring out the big guns – and get stuck into Moroccanoil’s Intense Hydrating Mask. As you’ll have figured, we already swear by their treatment oil.

The formula comes in a good sized tub and carries that familiar brown and blue packaging. The mask promises to improve texture, shine and elasticity. Of course, the main caring ingredient in this product is argon oil.

The mask is thick and creamy, and it smells lovely (it definitely contains perfume though – if that’s a concern). It comes in a tube too – although we always have mixed thoughts about tub – they can get a bit messy!

We used this product after washing with our everyday shampoo. We applied it to our lengths – liberally – but steering clear of our roots. We left the product in for a good 5 mins before we washed it out – you can leave in for more or less time if you like, but we find 5 mins is a good test time – you know, it’s in the middle.

As we washed the product out we could instantly tell something was different. Instead of the mass of knotty frail hair, our manes were rinsing out smoothly, and with not much in the way of tangles. As with all hair masks and intense conditioners, it does take a bit of rinsing – but it is worth the wait!

Before blow drying we added a little drop of the iconic oil to our ends and took to drying. Hair felt stronger and sleeker, it dried with a healthy shine and there was a lot less static too. All in all, our hair looked a LOT better and healthier. It also felt stronger and smoother – definitely less brittle.

The product didn’t increase oiliness and we were able to go a few days before it needed a wash. Even after washing a few days later we were still reaping the rewards of this gorgeous formula.

In A Nutshell:

This mask is by far one of our favourites – even on fine hair it didn’t feel heavy or coated. Our hair felt well-loved and looked healthy and shiny – and the feeling lasted for days.

For a once a week mask, this is our go to without a doubt. It’s a great price and it works – what more could you ask for?
